Fun Fact… did you know that The Kentucky Derby is the longest running sporting event in the United States, dating back to 1875?! This iconic, world renowned event is something that takes place in our great state of Kentucky, every year, drawing in people from all over the world. Tonight at our Derby Inspired Cocktail Class, we got to take a glimpse into what the Derby entails, learned some history, we made some delicious Derby Cocktail staples; & now it’s time to have some fun & celebrate the right way!!!

Come celebrate accordingly with us at The Grape Vines Wine Bar! We will be hosting a Derby Celebration that includes festive cocktails, fun games, good eats, live music, great company, fabulous prizes, & more!

The Celebration will be from 5-10PM, with live music featuring Lori’s Secret 3 Piece Acoustic Set from 6-10PM. Lori’s Secret is a live dance band playing the hits of 70’s to current, a mix of rock, pop, & country. They are sure to get the party going!!

Since we are being festive, you need to dress to the occasion! Best Men’s Bowtie & Best Ladies Derby Hat/Fascinator will win a Grape Vines Wine Bar Gift Card…score!!! As for the games, be prepared to get competitive! We will race just like the horses….you guessed it, we will do a Relay Race & the winner will get a bottle of Wine!! The Relay Race & announcement of the Best Bowtie & Derby Hat/Fascinator will be done after the “Run for the Roses” Race.

For our Festive Cocktail we will be featuring a Derby Classic… The Mint Julep! Enjoy a refreshing Derby Must Have for $12, because…did you really celebrate the Kentucky Derby if you didn’t have a Mint Julep??

Food is available for purchase from 4-8PM. Our Food Offerings include:
– Grilled Cheese Burgers paired with Coleslaw & Potato Chips. Top your Burger with the following options: Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles, Ketchup, Mustard, or Mayo. ($12)
– 12″ Medium Hand Tossed Thin Crust Cheese, Pepperoni, or Veggie Pizza ($18) OR Pair with a $25 Bottle of Wine for $40 + Tax.
